This year’s event will feature the likes of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka and Carlos Alcaraz.
Held at Stade Roland Garros, the 2024 French Open will consist of 128 players in both the men’s and women’s singles and qualifying draws.
Nadal to Play Final Roland Garros
Legendary Spaniard Rafael Nadal will play the French Open for what looks to be the final time in his illustrious career. Winning the event on 14-time previous occasions, Nadal has competed in only four events this season.
The 22-time Major winner will have to fend off the likes of Djokovic, Alcaraz, Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud if he is to hoist a 15 title.
Swiatek Goes for Fourth Title in France
World No. 1 Iga Swiatek will be the clear favourite to capture her fourth title in the City of Lights this year. Winning the titles in Madrid and Rome, Swiatek has proven that her dynamic is built the stand the test of time on the famed terre battue in France.
Swiatek will have to keep sharp through the 15-day tournament, with formidable foes Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina and Coco Gauff looking to claim her crown.
Will it be Rune’s Time to Shine?
While some of the notable contenders for the men’s title are either injured or off form, Dane superstar Holger Rune will be looking to capture his first-ever Major title in Paris this year.
Known as one of the fiercest competitors in the world, Rune will be adamant on starting his campaign in strong form from round one.
