Astana Open—Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan

Australian John Millman raced to his maiden ATP Tour title on Sunday in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, dispatching Frenchman Adrian Mannarino 7-5, 6-1.

Using his feisty game to battle through a tough first set, Millman then began to open up his shoulders and hit with more vigour in set two. Previously losing in the finals of two ATP Tour events, Millman has been best known for his upset win over Roger Federer during the 2018 US Open.

Mannarino, who fell to 1-10 in ATP Tour career finals, didn’t lose a set entering the finals.
