No. 2 seed Alexander Zverev completed a comprehensive week of impressive tennis on Sunday in Vienna, Austria, defeating American Frances Tiafoe 7-5, 6-4 to win his 18th career title.
Hitting 19 aces, winning 80 percent of his first serve points and breaking serve on three occasions, Zverev improved to 6-1 against Tiafoe in lifetime meetings and also notched his fifth title of 2021.
Defeating Carlos Alcarez in the semifinals, Zeverv will remain at No. 4 in the rankings on Monday.
Tiafoe, who had the best week of his career to date, dismissed Stefanos Tsitsipas, Jannik Sinner and Diego Schwartzman earlier in the tournament.
Tiafoe will be ranked No. 41 on the computer on Monday.

St. Petersburg Open—St. Petersburg, Russia
Former US Open winner Marin Cilic capped off two successful weeks of action in Russia on Sunday, winning his 20th career title over Taylor Fritz 7-6(3), 4-6, 6-4.
Reaching the finals in Moscow last week, Cilic improved on that performance by slamming 12 aces, winning 78 percent of his first serve points and breaking his American opponent on five occasions.
Cilic, who has been ranked as high as No. 3 in the world, will move to No. 29 on Monday.
Fritz, who was seeking his second career title, dispatched Tommy Paul and Jan-Lennard Struff earlier in the week.
