No. 2 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Cameron Norrie 6-3, 6-3 on Sunday in Lyon, France to capture his seventh career title. Needing one hour and nine minutes to seal his crown, Tsitsipas stayed in control of the entire match by striking seven aces and winning 82 percent of his first serve points.
Playing his British opponent for the first time, Tsitsipas also earned his second title of 2021.
The 22-year-old will remain at No. 5 in the world on Monday.
Norrie, who was attempting to capture his first title in three finals, defeated Dominic Thiem and Karen Khachanov earlier in the event.
The 25-year-old will move up to No. 45 in the world when Monday’s rankings are released.
