Serena Williams is the WTA Player of the Decade

There is no doubt that Serena Williams is one of the most prolific and dominant tennis players of all time. In the context of tennis players, it is both men and women who are referred to as tennis players.

It is worth noting that Serena has 23 Grand Slam titles, one more than Rafael Nadal, two more than Novak Djokovic, and three more than Roger Federer.

Serena Williams, however, announced that she was quitting tennis in order to concentrate on all of her business ventures.

Forbes estimates Williams’ net worth at $260 million. Aside from founding Serena Ventures, the 40-year-old has established brand partnerships with big names such as Gatorade, Ford, Hanesbrands, Gucci, and Nike.

A look at Serena Williams’ business ventures

It has been reported that 78% of Serena Williams’ portfolio consists of companies that were started by women and people of color.

The following is a list of several companies that Serena Williams has invested in over the years.

  • Lolli

  • MasterClass

  • Tonal

Tonal is a strength training gym that you can use at home. The company is valued at  $1 billion. The system works similarly to Peloton, but with a gym component. 

As part of Tonal’s “Strength Made Me” campaign, Williams is a brand ambassador.

  • OURS

Live counseling sessions are available on OURS, a website for couples counseling.

Through the company’s technology, virtual counseling, live counseling, and content sessions are available.

  • Clubhouse

The Clubhouse is an audio chat room for casual, drop-in conversations. You can meet friends and new people from all over the world here.

Discussion topics are developed, debated, and asked.

  • Daily Harvest

  • Infinite Objects

Esusu, a financial technology company for rent reporting and credit building, received $10 million in Series A funding from Serena Ventures in July 2021.

The Esusu system is available in more than 2 million homes, representing a gross lease value of over $2.4 billion.
