No. 3 seed Lorenzo Sonego captured his second career ATP Tour title on Sunday in Cargiari, Italy, defeating Laslo Djere 2-6. 7-6(5), 6-4. Needing three hours and two minutes to seal his victory, Sonego hit one ace, won 70 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on three occasions. Winning seven less points than his opponent (110-103), Sonego also dismissed Taylor Fritz and Gilles Simon earlier in the event.
Moving to 2-1 in his head-to-head against Djere, Sonego will be ranked No. 28 in world when Monday’s rankings are released.
Djere, who was aiming to win his third career title, dispatched Nikoloz Basilashvili and Lorenzo Musetti in the earlier rounds.

Moving up to No. 12 in the rankings, Carreno Busta ousted Albert Ramos Vinolas in the semifinals.
Munar, who was attempting to win his first career title, dispatched up-and-comer Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals.
