Home-country hero Jannik Sinner reached the finals in Turin, Italy on Saturday, defeating No. 3 seed Daniil Medvedev 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-1.
Needing two hours and 29 minutes to prevail, Sinner struck 10 aces, hit 29 winners and broke the serve of his opponent on three occasions.
Picking up his third-straight win over Medvedev this fall, Sinner will now play Sunday’s final against Novak Djokovic.
The Serbian legend defeated world No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz 6-3, 6-2 in one hour and 29 minutes.
Featured during the night session, Djokovic and Alcaraz delighted the Italian crowd with their world-class shot-making from the baseline.
Hammering 14 winners and winning 81 percent of his first serve points, Djokovic will aim to win his seventh ATP Finals title on Sunday.
Improving to 4-2 against Alcaraz in lifetime meetings, Djokovic will carry a 3-1 head-to-head lead against Sinner in Sunday’s final.
