Reigning Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner steamrolled past No. 3 seed Daniil Medvedev on Friday at the Miami Open, defeating the former winner 6-1, 6-2 to reach his third final.
Needing one hour and 10 minutes to prevail, Sinner struck seven aces, won 80 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on four occasions.
Winning his last five encounters with Medvedev, Sinner will next face No. 4 seed Alexander Zverev or No. 11 seed Grigor Dimitrov in Sunday’s final.
Saturday’s action in Miami will feature the women’s final. No.4 seed Elena Rybakina will face American Danielle Collins. Rybakina leads the pair’s head-to-head 3-1. Collins has announced that this will be her last season on Tour.
