Ruud Wins 11th Career Title
Norwegian star Casper Ruud continued his stellar clay-court season on Sunday in Barcelona, Spain, dismissing No. 5 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas 7-5, 6-3.
Tsitsipas, who won the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters last week in Monaco over Ruud, now owns 11 career titles.
Slamming two aces and winning 78 percent of his first serve points during the one hour and 30 minute contest, Ruud improved to 3-2 against Tsitsipas in lifetime meetings.
Madrid Open up Next
Tsitsipas will now aim to win his second title of the year when he takes part in the Mutua Madrid Open next week in Spain. The 25-year-old was a finalist in Madrid in 2019.
Ruud, who was playing in his fourth final of the season, last won on Tour in Estoril in 2023. The Norwegian will stay at No. 6 in the world when Monday’s rankings are released.

BMW OPEN—Munich, Germany
Hometown hero Jan-Lennard Struff won his first-ever ATP Tour title on Sunday in Munich, Germany, defeating No. 3 seed Taylor Fritz 7-5, 6-3.
Needing one hour and 19 minutes to seal his victory, Struff struck two aces, won 79 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on five occasions.
Improving to 2-1 against Fritz in lifetime meetings, Struff will move up to No. 24 in the world on Monday.
The 33-year-old German also defeated No. 2 seed Holger Rune and No. 5 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime earlier in the event.
Fritz, who was playing in his first-career clay-court final, will move up to No. 13 in the world on when the latest rankings are released.

Hungarian star Marton Fucsovics won his second career title on Sunday in Bucharest, Romania, downing Argentine Mariano Navone 6-4, 7-5.
In a match that lasted two hours and six minutes, Fucsovics struck one ace, won 63 percent of his second serve points and broke serve on five occasions.
Never playing his opponent on Tour prior to Sunday’s final, Fucsovics will move up to No. 51 in the world on Monday.
Navone, who was playing in his second final of the season, will be ranking No. 41 in the world when the latest rankings are released.
