World No. 6 Milos Raonic has withdrawn from next week’s Monte Carlo Rolex Masters, citing an injured hamstring that has plagued him for a majority of the this year. The Canadian was forced to pull out of the finals in Delray Beach against Jack Sock in February, and subsequent Masters 1000 events in Indian Wells, California and Key Biscayne, Florida.
Raonic will be joined on the sidelines in Monte Carlo by Roger Federer, Kei Nishikori, Nick Kyrgios and Juan Martin del Potro.
The third Masters 1000 event of the season in Monaco gets underway on Sunday. Top ranked Andy Murray, No. 2 seed Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka and Rafa Nadal are all currently set to compete.
Raonic weighs in at 216#…. and he must knock off at least 16# if not more to save his legs from the stress of running and lunging on hard courts…. otherwise his ranking will plummet into oblivion. Shuck off the ### Milos or else …!!!!
Good point. He did recently hire a new trainer so let’s see how that will develop.
