Nadal Advances to Second Round in Bastad
Former world No. 1 Rafael Nadal stormed into the second round of the Nordea Open on Tuesday, defeating Leo Borg 6-3, 6-4.
Needing one hour and 25 minutes to advance, Nadal hit 24 winners, won 82 percent of his first serve points and broke his Swedish opponent on two occasions.
Playing a limited schedule this year due to injuries and retirement concerns, Nadal will next face No. 5 seed Cameron Norrie for a place in the quarterfinals.
Nadal and Norrie have played on five occasions with the Spaniard leading the Brit 4-1 in career matches.
The Mallorcan won the tournament in Bastad in 2005.
Elsewhere, Roberto Carballes Baena, Duje Ajdukovic, Thiago Monteiro, Sumit Nagal, Henrique Rocha, Timofey Skatov, Thiago Agustin Tirante and Denis Yevseyev all reached the second round of the event.

EFG Swiss Open Gstaad—Switzerland
Former Wimbledon finalist Matteo Berrettini reached the second round of the Swiss Open Gstaad on Tuesday, defeating Pedro Cachin 6-4, 7-6(2).
Slamming five aces and winning 73 percent of his first serve points, Berrettini broke the serve of his Argentine opponent on one occasion.
The Italian will next face Daniel Elahi Galan for a place in the quarterfinals.
Other winners on the day included Gustavo Heide, Quentin Halys, Yannick Hanfmann and Hamad Medjedovic.
