Musetti Reaches Queen’s Club Semifinals
Friday’s action the Queen’s Club event in London, England featured the men’s quarterfinal line.
First up, Australian Jordan Thompson upset American Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-3 in one hour and 19 minutes.
Thompson, who won the title in Los Cabos, Mexico earlier this year, is currently ranked No. 43 in the world. The 30-year-old improved to 19-14 on the season and will next face Lorenzo Musetti for a place in the finals. Musetti ousted local hero Billy Harris 6-3, 7-5.
Elsewhere, new British No. 1 Jack Draper lost in three sets to Tommy Paul and Sebastian Korda took out Rinky Hijikata in the final match of the day.
Draper defeated top seed and recent French Open winner Carlos Alcaraz in the second round on Thursday. Alcaraz will now prepare for Wimbledon. Tickets to the year’s third Major can be purchased here.

Hurkacz, Zverev Advance in Halle
Quarterfinal action on Friday in Halle, Germany saw No. 5 seed Hubert Hurkacz oust American Marcus Giron 7-6(5), 6-4.
Hurkacz, who is always a force on grass-courts because of his tremendous serve, struck 11 aces during his most recent victory.
The Pole will next face hometown favourite Alexander Zverev for a place in Sunday’s final.
Zverev dismissed talented Frenchman Arthur Fils 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-4.
The German continues to have a great year on Tour, which includes winning the Italian Open and recaching the finals of the French Open.
Later in the day, top seed Jannik Sinner needed a third set tiebreaker to dismiss Jan Lennard Struff and Zhizhen Zhang required three sets to dispatch Christoper Eubanks.
