Musetti, Berrettini Advance to Second Round of 2025 Monte Carlo Masters
Monday’s ATP Tour Results
Monday’s results from the 2025 Rolex Monte Carlo Masters in Monaco featured No. 13 seed Lorenzo Musetti advance to the second round, defeating Yunchaokete Bu 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 in two hours and 39 minutes.
Hitting one ace, winning 71 percent of his first serve points, breaking serve on three occasions and striking 35 winners, Musetti will next face Jiri Lehecka.
Lehecka dismissed American Sebastian Korda 6-3, 7-6(7) earlier in the day.
Other winners on Monday included Matteo Berrettini, Alexandre Muller, Daniel Altmaier, Marcos Giron, Gael Monfils, and Alejandro Tabilo.
Matches that are still to come on Day 2 will feature No. 9 Daniil Medvedev versus Karen Khachanov, and former winner Fabio Fognini taking on Francisco Cerundolo.
Tuesday’s action in the Principality features top seed Alexander Zverev, No. 5 seed Jack Draper, No. 6 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, and No. 10 seed Holger Rune.
