Tennis has always been a gentleman’s sport. Since its creation about 200 years ago, the sport has been showing nothing but quality along with some top-notch athletes and a crowd that is always entertained. Throughout the years, many players won the fans’ hearts and were known for their excellent sportsmanship and talent. Players like Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer are the face of the sport.

Today, many tennis tournaments are being held annually. Those tournaments are supported massively by the fans and are very popular. That is why we wanted to give you a small list of the most popular tournaments. Before we start, we wanted to give an honorable mention to the Laver Cup, a new tournament that is winning the hearts of fans.

Australian Open

Since the Australian Open is being held in January every year, we wanted to start the list with this tournament. It was founded in 1905 and it is being held in Melbourne each year. The current champion is Novak Djokovic, who is also the player with the most titles at the Australian Open (7). Margaret Court is dominating in the Women’s Category with 11 trophies. Since we are a few months away from the next Australian Open, let’s have a look at some of the favorites.

Novak Djokovic is the Men’s favorite. Since he was the winner of the last Australian Open, online bookies are placing him before Nadal and Federer. His odds are 6/4. Rafa Nadal is second with odds coming at 3/1 and Roger Federer is third with 7/1. Medvedev completes the list with 10/1.

If you are willing to bet on certain games and you are looking for a handsome profit, we’ve got the top picks and parlays for you. You’ll receive some nice tips as well as the best online bookies on the Internet these days. Choosing the best bookie is important since some of them offer handsome promotions and/or free bets.

Serena Williams is the favorite in the Women’s Category. Her odds are 11/2. Bianca Andreescu is second with 7/1, and Naomi Osaka is third with 10/1. The odds for any other winner except the top 3 picks in this category are 4/1.

Monte-Carlo Masters

Monte-Carlo Masters is an annual tournament for male tennis players. It was founded a bit earlier than the Australian Open, in 1897. Players are competing for prize money of roughly $5.5 million. Rafael Nadal is dominating this tournament with 11 titles. He also holds the records for most finals played (12) and most consecutive titles (8), most matches played (72) and most matches won (68), as well as the most consecutive wins (46). Monte-Carlo Masters is being held in the April-May period.

French Open/Roland-Garros

French Open has been founded in 1891 and it is a tournament where players compete for a prize of $43 million. Rafael Nadal is also the most dominant player here, with 12 titles and he is the current champion. Chris Evert is the most decorated player in the Women’s Category with 7 titles. The French Open takes place from May-June and it is currently the only Grand Slam tournament on clay.

US Open

The US Open is a hard court tennis tournament that starts on the last Monday of August and continues for the next two weeks. Players compete for prize money of $57 million. Molla Mallory is the most decorated player in the Women’s Category (8), while Richard Sears, William Larned, and Bill Tilden (7) are sharing the No.1 spot in the Men’s Category.

Wimbledon

Finally, we have the most famous tournament in the tennis world. Wimbledon is one of the oldest tournaments, first taking place 142 years ago. Novak Djokovic is the current champion after the epic final against Federer. Martina Navratilova (9) and Roger Federer (8) are the most decorated players at this Grand Slam tournament.

If you’re a tennis player trying to get the hang of playing on a grass court, tennis ball machines may be a good option for you. Moreover, if you’re looking for tennis ball machines under $1,000, these machines ensure that you get the most out of your practice sessions on the court, while staying in budget.
