Naomi Osaka has beaten Belinda Bencic in straight sets to set up a final against Karolina Pliskova at the Miami Open. The Japanese fourth seed won 6-3 6-1 in Florida to reach her first final of the year.
Bencic, who was beaten by Osaka in the Australian Open quarter-finals, saved three match points before hitting a forehand into the net on the fourth.
Osaka, 21, will face Czech second seed Pliskova after she beat Ashleigh Barty 7-5 6-4. Pliskova, 26, has reached her third consecutive Miami final but is yet to win the tournament. “I’m obviously excited,” she said. “Hopefully I can take it one more step.”
Carlos Alacaraz Beats Hurkacz

Alcaraz will face Hubert Hurkacz or Aslan Karatsev in the final on Sunday after winning 77-62 77-65 in two hours and one minute. The Spaniard broke for a 6-5 lead in the first set and then served it out, before breaking twice to take a 5-2 lead in the second.
Swiatek Beats Pegula
The 21-year-old qualifier from Buffalo, New York, produced a high-quality display to upset the world number four 6-7(6) 5-7 in the semi-final of the Miami Open.
Pegula was forced to save five break points in a 30-minute opening set that she eventually claimed 8-6 in the tiebreak. The second set was a closer affair, and Swiatek broke to lead 4-3, but Pegula responded by winning three straight games to serve for the match at 5-4.
However, Swiatek refused to give up and broke back before holding her nerve in another tiebreak to win 7-5 and book her spot in Sunday’s final against French Open champion Sorana Cirstea.
Men’s Doubles- It’s a Win for Hurkacz
The Men’s double was a tight match and more pressing for Hurkacz. Hurkacz and Isner went home as the happy team as they won 6-6 to beat N. Kyrgios and T. Kokkinakis 4-3.
