Tuesday’s action at Roland Garros featured No. 2 seed Daniil Medvedev reaching the second round after he defeated Facundo Bagnis in straight sets. No. 7 seed Andrey Rublev also advanced after dropping the first set in his match against Soonwoo Kwon, while No. 14 seed Denis Shapovalov saw his tournament end early at the hands of Holger Rune in three sets.
On the women’s side, Paula Badosa, Simona Halep, Danielle Collins and Daria Kasatkina were all victorious.
