Japan Open: Babolat Celebrates 150th Anniversary
Babolat, the world leading tennis brand, celebrates 150y anniversary at the Japan Open 2025, alongside #1 Carlos Alcaraz

The celebration started in January with a party held in Australia, prior to the 2025 Australian Open at the opening tennis season, and this past week with an event in Japan on September 22nd at Grand Nikko Tokyo Odaiba.
Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships 2025, which began on September 22nd, featured many Babolat players who contributed to the 150-years history. Among this extended Babolat family the #1 world champion Carlos Alcaraz, who is playing with Babolat racquet and strings since he was 10 years old, competed at the Japan Open for the first time. In 2025 Carlos Alcaraz won the French Open and the US Open where he regained his world number one position.
Babolat VS Japan Co., Ltd. held a 150th anniversary party on September 22nd in conjunction with the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships 2025. CEO Eric Babolat also joined the special occasion, which was mainly attended by business partners, Babolat athletes Jordan Thompson, Yosuke Watanuki, and Edouard Roger-Vasselin. Founded in 1875, Babolat contributed to the history of tennis by inventing the world’s first tennis string. 150 years later, Babolat continues to pioneer tennis with dedicated equipment such as footwear. 2025 is being celebrated throughout the year in 150 countries around the world where Babolat brand serves tennis lovers.
