Sunday’s final at the National Bank Open in Montreal will feature No. 8 seed Hubert Hurkacz taking on Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta. With their head-to-head tied at 1-1, Hurkacz made the finals earlier in the day with a three set victory over No. 4 seed and French Open finalist Casper Ruud, 5-7, 6-3, 6-2.
The evening clash saw Carreno Busta oust talented Brit Daniel Evans 7-5, 6-7(7), 6-2.
Hurkacz, who won the Miami Open in 2021, will be attempting to win his sixth career title on Sunday.
Playing in his first Masters 1000 final, Carreno Busta’s impressive week has seen him defeat No. 7 seed Jannik Sinner and No. 11 seed Matteo Berrettini en-route to the finals.
As always, Betway will have impressive odds on Sunday’s Championship contest, with Hurkacz slated as the favourite.
