Adelaide International 1—Adelaide, Australia

Serbian great Novak Djokovic won his 92nd career title on Sunday in Adelaide, Australia, defeating American Sebastian Korda 6-7(8), 7-6(3), 6-4.

In a match that lasted three hours and nine minutes, Djokovic hit seven aces, withstood 15 from his opponent, won 85 percent of his serve points and broke serve on two occasions.

Saving a set point in the second set, Djokovic had never played his talented opponent on Tour before.

Heading into the Australian Open as the clear favourite, Djokovic will attempt to tie Rafael Nadal’s Major record at 22 victories.

Korda, reached his third final in his last four events, will enter the year’s first Grand Slam ranked No. 31 in the world. The 22-year-old has been touted as one of the cleanest ball strikers on the circuit.
