Five things you can do when waiting for the next match

Roland-Garros 2020 Preview Day 4: Welcome back, Eugenie Bouchard

Waiting for a match can be a little more than just boring. There are so many things that you can do to help you pass the time, but if you are struggling to think of things to do, here are five things that you might want to try to pass the time when waiting for the airing of the next big tennis match.

#1 Join an online forum to join discussions about upcoming events and matches

Joining online forums to discuss upcoming events and matches can be a great way to connect with the community around you. You can share opinions and hopes with others with your interests. This can also be a great way to talk to people, especially if you are stuck indoors due to the current pandemic. It might help curb the excitement and be a good release of energy.

#2 Play online games to take your mind off of the tension and how long you have to wait

Playing online games can be a great way to pass the time and enjoy yourself at the same time. Playing games such as online casino Canada games or something with similar convenience can be a great way to distract you, especially if you are getting restless about the wait, even if it is just a couple of hours away. This can be a simple time killer, and by playing on your phone, you are always in control.

#3 Listen to podcasts to take your mind elsewhere or learn more about the sport

Listening to podcasts can be an excellent way to take your mind off of the upcoming match and help you learn something new. Whether it is tennis-related or not, you can listen to a podcast while doing some much-needed chores around the house, like laundry or cleaning, which can help you pass the time in a helpful and useful way.

#4 Do some exercises to release pent-up energy

Doing some exercises to release some pent-up stress and energy when waiting for a match to come around can help curb any restlessness. By finding healthy and natural ways to relax, you can help calm yourself down, meaning that you will not be so excited you forget to give your total concentration to the match.

#5 Watch past matches to get an idea of what to expect

This might sound a little strange, but it will get you prepared for the match. You might determine what is to come and can see if the players have learned from past mistakes. Doing this can make the game even more thrilling and can add a lot of enjoyment factors to it. These might be interesting discussion points to have with the friends that you have made in the forum.

In conclusion

With the current COVID-19 situation, the annual tennis calendar has been affected and while waiting for the airing of the next big tennis match you can help pass the time by relieving built-up tension by doing some exercises, distracting yourself by listening to podcasts, and playing online games, or completely immerse yourself in the community and past matches.
