Heritage and Elite Collections Take the Court in Paris
FILA sponsored tennis athletes will debut two new clothing collections in Paris at Roland Garros in May. The Heritage Collection for Men and the Elite Collection for Women are stunning examples of how FILA continually marries fashion and functionality for the modern tennis athlete.
The Heritage Collection for Men, which will be worn by such FILA athletes as World No. 4 Marin Cilic and World No. 9 John Isner, embodies a sleek Italian look by way of updated, archival FILA styles. A mix of iconic FILA elements – retro bamboo F-Box logos and zip pulls, six-hole buttons – are paired with modern updates like fade away piling, color splicing and shoulder articulation. FILA’s time-honored red, white and blue colorways have been updated to include the addition of a fresh light blue color. In addition to style, the Heritage collection excels with its new heather/mesh stripe polo, performance pique and clover textured ventilation. The Heritage Collection features five silhouettes of tops including two crew neck shirts and three polo shirts, as well as a short, and matching jacket and pants.
The Elite Collection for Women, which will be worn in Paris by such FILA athletes as World No. 6 Karolina Pliskova and World No. 18 Ashleigh Barty, was designed with simple, flattering lines. Full of elegant silhouettes in gentle pastel colorways of lilac, ice green, white and electric club print. Small details shine on the Elite Collection, from the polo shirt with varying buttons to the dress with a tipped print. Additional design elements include flattering, perfectly placed ruching and baby pleats, while a closer look at the collection’s colorful, abstract print reveals its tennis net inspiration. The Elite Collection features five silhouettes of tops, including three tank tops, a short sleeve top and a polo shirt. It also offers two matching styles of skorts, two styles of shorts, two dresses and a long-sleeved shirt.
All FILA athletes, men and women, will be wearing the Axilus Energized, the brand’s latest tennis shoe.
