FILA’s Sponsored Athletes to Debut Tropical Slice and Legend Collections at Roland Garros
(FILA Global) – For the season’s second Grand Slam, FILA’s sponsored athletes will hit the red clay courts in the women’s Tropical Slice and men’s Legend Collections. The new lines are set to make a strong statement at Roland Garros, featuring vibrant, seasonable hues, lightweight fabrics and updated graphics.
In addition to the two new collections, FILA’s top female athletes including Karolina Pliskova and Jelena Jankovic, will be dressed in styles from the Heritage Collection.
Women’s Tropical Slice Collection:
FILA’s Tropical Slice collection beautifully blends spring vibes with a sporty twist. The line’s upbeat arrangement of neon oranges, turquoises and eclectic prints will brighten up any court. FILA’s classic tulip petal skirt silhouette, airy mesh details and super lightweight textures, allow wearers to move around the court in the most comfortable way.
The Tropical Slice lines features a sleek assortment of five tops, two skorts and a dress. Printed pinhole mesh textures pair with pleats and piping, for styles that are both fashion-forward and functional. The collection also includes a jacket and a lightweight pant, blending the line’s crisp white and bright bluebird hues.
FILA sponsored athletes including Yaroslava Shvedova, Timea Babos and Irina Begu will debut the Tropical Slice line on-court at Roland Garros. The Tropical Slice collection is priced from $56 – $85 and is available on TennisWarehouse.com and at tennis specialty retailers in the United States and Canada.
Women’s Heritage Collection:
FILA’s Heritage Collection includes an array of designs that continue to reflect the brand’s rich history in the game. The apparel stays true to FILA’s roots, while offering contemporary updates for today’s player. FILA sponsored athletes Karolina Pliskova and Jelena Jankovic will be dressed in Heritage fashions at Roland Garros.
Pliskova will be outfitted in the Heritage sleeveless polo and the Heritage skort, in a navy, white and online lime colorway. The apparel references details from 1970’s FILA tennis, including the re-introduction of the brand’s archival green hue. Jankovic will wear the Heritage striped dress, featuring blocks of color in FILA’s signature red, white and navy hues, with contrast color binding on the neckband and armholes.
The Heritage collection is priced from $54 – $90 and is available on TennisWarehouse.com and at tennis specialty retailers in the United States and Canada.
Men’s Legend Collection:
The men’s Legend Collection pays homage to a true FILA visionary and the brand’s first Creative Director, Pierluigi Rolando. Borrowing Rolando’s chromatic sportswear scheme, pieces are designed in a legend blue, navy and white colorway, with classic stripes and textures to offer a fresh new take on timeless FILA silhouettes.
Design details such as heather-effect prints, color blocking and stripes, decorate a selection of clean cut styles. This Legend Collection offers four different tops, including two crew neck shirts, a polo shirt and a long-sleeve shirt, each featuring embossed elastic neck tape and the silver cut-out F-Box logo. The collection includes one short style, offered in both navy and white, and created with a contrast color inside waist with two color drawcord, textured side panels, and 8” inseam.
FILA’s sponsored male athletes including Marin Cilic, John Isner, Sam Querrey, and Andreas Seppi will debut the Legend Collection on-court at Roland Garros. The Legend collection is priced from $50 to $68 and is available on TennisWarehouse.com and at tennis specialty retailers in the United States and Canada.
