(FILA North America – May 18, 2022) – FILA sponsored athletes will touch down in Paris for the second Grand Slam of the season, showcasing the new Center Court spring tennis collection alongside new colorways of the brand’s popular Axilus 2 Energized performance footwear. FILA’s latest performance tennis line will introduce eclectic hues and patterns in sporty yet polished silhouettes, with accompanying footwear colorways that serve as the perfect complement to the collection’s bold and diversified look.
Women’s Center Court Collection
World No. 2 Barbora Krejcikova will arrive in Paris as the newest addition to FILA’s roster of sponsored players, donning the Center Court Collection as she begins her campaign to defend both the singles and doubles titles. Krejcikova will wear a variety of pieces spanning the collection’s colorful palette, highlighting pink peacock, blue iolite and evening primrose hues, and a galaxy print intermixed with classic black and white tones. The 26-year-old will showcase two distinct silhouettes – a vibrant pink Racerback Tank with a mid-back keyhole, paired with a white 13 ½” skort with pleated detailing throughout; and a white Racerback Tank with pops of evening primrose coloring, paired with the eye-catching galaxy print 13 ½” skort.
World No.8 Karolina Pliskova will sport two unique tank options from the Center Court Collection – the Cami Tank in evening primrose and the Galaxy Printed Racerback, each of which can be mixed and matched with the Center Court Skort, made of sheer illusion mesh layered with galaxy print and pink peacock ball shorts for a pop of color. Both the tanks and skorts offer sleek cooling fabrics and peek-a-boo mesh detailing for maximum breathability.
To round out the line, the collection also features a stunning Galaxy Print Dress, as well as the Center Court Jacket and Pants.
Men’s Center Court Collection
The Center Court Collection will also be worn by FILA’s male sponsored athletes John Isner, Reilly Opelka, Diego Schwartzman, and Sam Querrey, who will showcase a variety of styles in Paris, including Stretch Woven Shorts, an array of Short Sleeve Crews and Polos, and the Long Sleeve Henley Tee.
Americans Isner and Querrey will both sport the white / galaxy print polo, a traditional white silhouette with breathable mesh panels at the side and back, complemented with a contrast color back panel of the galaxy print. Opelka and Schwartzman will opt for the Short Sleeve Crews. Both Opelka’s evening primrose and Schwartzman’s pink peacock hues feature a rib collar and breathable pinhole mesh inserts at underarm and side panels. All FILA sponsored men’s players will wear the tried-and-true Stretch Woven Shorts in different colorways, including galaxy print, blue iolite and pink peacock, each with a compression short inside lining and 8” inseam.
FILA’s sponsored tennis players will debut two new colorways of the brand’s leading performance tennis shoe, the Axilus 2 Energized, when they compete in Paris this spring. Isner, Schwartzman and Querrey will pair the blue iolite / evening primrose / white colorway while Pliskova will showcase the white / pink peacock / evening primrose colorway to tie into the collection’s galaxy print.
