The International Tennis Hall of Fame (ITHF), Packer Shoes and FILA have collaborated on two limited-edition sneaker styles set to debut during the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport. This marks the first lifestyle footwear collaboration for the ITHF. Design details reflect the ITHF’s new brand identity, including an updated logo, which was unveiled at the grand re-opening of The Museum at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in May.
Tennis is a rich part of FILA’s history and the collaboration reflects the brand’s heritage in the sport and role as a trendsetter in sneaker culture. The International Tennis Hall of Fame pack features two FILA Classic Tennis models. The T-1 Mid was designed with an all over Sycamore green suede upper, gum bottom and terry lining, with a special International Tennis Hall of Fame footbed and Packer embroidered detail back collar.
The Original Tennis shoe was created with an off-white suede upper, perforated quarter, Sycamore/FILA Red tumbled leather flag, gum bottom and terry lining, with the International Tennis Hall of Fame footbed and Packer embroidered detail back collar. The T-1 Mid and Original Tennis shoes will also feature a 2D rubberized hangtag, a replica of the ITHF’s new logo. Each style will be wrapped up in custom packaging, including a pull-drawer box and tissue.
The ITHF will premiere the footwear during the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, beginning on July 11. The shoes will be releasing at Packer retail locations in Teaneck and online, beginning on July 18. The T1-Mid and Original Tennis pairs will retail for $110. A portion of the proceeds of sales of the shoe will be donated to junior tennis programs at the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
