NOVENTI OPEN—Halle, Germany

Top seed Roger Federer claimed his 10th title in Halle, Germany on Sunday with a 7-6(2), 6-1 victory over talented Belgium David Goffin.

After surviving a tough opening set, Federer breezed through the set two with little to no adversity. Winning his 102nd career title, Federer now trails American Jimmy Connors by only seven titles. The 37-year-old owns three titles on the season, previously winning in Dubai and Miami.

Federer will now head into Wimbledon next week as the No. 2 seed.

Goffin, who was attempting to win his fifth career title, fell to 1-8 against Federer in lifetime meetings.

Fever-Tree Championships—London, Great Britain

Wildcard recipient Feliciano Lopez notched his seventh career title and second at the Queen’s Club event in London, Great Britain on Sunday, dismissing wily veteran Gilles Simon 6-2, 6-7(4), 7-6(2).

Needing two hours and forty minutes to seal his victory, Lopez slammed 16 aces, won 77 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on three occasions.

Currently ranked No. 113 in the world, Lopez picked up 410 points for his victory and should catapult to around No. 55 in the world on Monday.

Simon, who was going for his 15th career title, is currently ranked No. 38 in the world. The 34-year-old Frenchman was ranked as high as No. 6 in the world back in May of 2006.
