Damir Dzumhur captured his first-career title in St. Petersburg, Russia on Sunday, defeating No. 3 Fabio Fognini 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. In a match that lasted one hour and 54 minutes, Dzumhur dropped the first set before roaring back in easy fashion to win the next two. Hitting three aces and breaking serve on four occasions, Dzumhur won his first match against Fognini in three meetings.
Fognini, who was in search of his second title of 2017 and sixth overall, failed to build on his momentum after captured the first set. The Italian defeated top seed Roberto Bausita Agut in the semifinals.

Moselle Open—Metz, France
German Peter Gojowczyk claimed this maiden career title in Metz, France on Sunday, upsetting No. 7 seed Benoit Paire 7-5, 6-2. Needing 67 minutes to win the event, Gojowczyk overcame nine aces by Paire in the first set before running away with the second set. Winning 86 percent of first serve points, Gojowczyk broke serve on three occasions and never faced a break point during the encounter.
Paire, who was in search of his second career title, defeated top seed David Goffin in the quarterfinals.
