Draper Stuns Alcaraz at Queen’s Club
Thursday’s action at the Queen’s Club event in London, England featured top seed and recent French Open winner Carlos Alcaraz losing to hometown favourite Jack Draper, 7-6(3), 6-3.
Needing one hour and 30 minutes to progress, Draper slammed eight aces, hit 24 winners and broke the serve his Spanish opponent on one occasions.
The entraining match was the third between Alcaraz and Draper. The Spanish star now leads the head-to-head series 2-1.
Draper will next face Tommy Paul for a place in the semifinals.
Tommy Paul reached the final eight after dismissing Alejandro Tabilo 6-3, 6-4.
Paul has enjoyed another successful season on Tour, highlighted by a title in Dallas, Texas and a current 24-10 win/loss record.

Sinner Advances to Halle Quarterfinals
Top seed and reigning Australian Open winner Jannik Sinner took one step closer to the title in Halle, Germany on Thursday, defeating Fabian Marozsan 6-4, 6-7(4), 6-3.
Sinner, who is coming off of a semifinal appearance at the French Open, needed two hours and 15 to progress to the quarterfinals.
The 22-year-old is now 35-3 in 2024 and will next face Stefanos Tsitsipas or Jan Lennard Struff for a place in the final four.
Elsewhere, grass-court expert Hubert Hurkacz edged past James Duckworth 7-6(3), 6-4.
Using his big serve to the great effect, Hurkacz hit 17 aces during the one hour and 17 minutes affair.
