No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic poured in a gusty performance at the US Open on Sunday, overcoming the crowd and Roger Federer to capture his second title in New York. Taking the title 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4, Djokovic saved 19 break points throughout and the four set tussle, while breaking serve on six occasions. Improving his head-to-head record against Federer to 21 wins a piece, the Serb completed the Slam season with three Majors and a final in Paris. Federer, who was looking for his first Slam victory since the 2012 Wimbledon Championships, committed 54 unforced errors to 56 winners during the three hour and 20 minute encounter. Djokovic also took home $3.8 million in prize for his victory.
