Djokovic to Face Musetti in Wimbledon Semifinals
Seven-time Wimbledon winner Novak Djokovic reached the semifinals of The Championships on Wednesday after his opponent Alex de Minuar was forced to withdraw with a hip injury.
The No. 9 seed hurt his hip during the final three points of his round of 16 encounter with Arthur Fils.
Djokovic will now face No. 25 seed Lorenzo Musetti for a place in the Wimbledon finals. Musetti overcame the challenge of American Taylor Fritz 3-6, 7-6(5), 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 to reach the final four.
The Italian will be looking to advance to the finals of his first Major tournament when he faces the legendary Serb on Friday. Musetti currently stands at 1-5 against Djokovic in lifetime meetings.
Musetti has pushed Djokovic to two five set encounters during their rivalry.
Djokovic is aiming to win his 25th career Major title at Wimbledon this year.

Rybakina Cruises into Semifinals
Former Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina marched into the final four of Wimbledon on Wednesday, defeating No. 21 seed Elina Svitolia 6-3, 6-.
In a match that lasted one hour and one minute, Rybakina hit seven aces, 28 winners and broke the serve of her Ukrainian opponent on four occasions.
Rybakina will next face No. 31 seed Barbora Krejcikova.
Krejcikova won a battle of former French Open winners by ousting Jelena Ostapenko 6-4, 7-6(4).
Thursday’s schedule at Wimbledon will feature the ladies semifinals.
Jasmine Paolini will take on Donna Vekic and Rybakina will face Krejcikova.
Friday’s order of play will be highlighted by the men’s semifinals. Djokovic will face face Fritz, while defending champion Carlos Alcaraz takes on No. 5 seed Daniil Medvedev.
