Djokovic to Face Alcaraz for Wimbledon Title
No. 2 seed Novak Djokovic reached the finals of Wimbledon on Friday, defeating No. 25 seed Lorenzo Musetti 6-4, 7-6(2), 6-4.
Needing two hours and 48 minutes to advance, Djokovic slammed 34 winners, won 75 percent of his first serve points and broke serve on four occasions.
The Serb’s victory set up a mouth-watering final with No. 3 seed Carlos Alcaraz. The defending champion defeated No. 5 seed Daniil Medvedev 6-7(1), 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.
Alcaraz won 73 percent of his first serve points and hit six aces during the two hour and 55 minute contest.
The Spaniard improved 5-2 against Medvedev in lifetime meetings and will take a 2-3 head-to-head deficit against Djokovic in Sunday’s final.
Djokovic and Alcaraz played a thrilling, five set match during last year’s in the championship match.
Alcaraz will be aiming to win his fourth Major and Djokvovic will be looking to extend his lead over Rafael Nadal in the all-time Grand Slam tally to 25 titles.

Women’s Final Preview: Jasmine Paolini vs. Barbora Krejcikova
Saturday’s women’s final will feature recent French Open finalist Jasmine Paolini taking on former French Open winner Barbora Krejcikova.
Never facing each other on Tour, Paolini needed a third set tiebreaker oust Donna Vekic on Thursday. Krejcikova caused the upset of the tournament by defeating the clear favourite Elena Rybakina in three sets.
Paolini recently made the finals of Roland Garros, losing to world No. 1 Iga Swiatek.
