No. 16 seed Pablo Carreno Busta defeated countryman Roberto Bautista Agut 6-7(6), 7-6(1), 6-4 on Saturday to claim his maiden ATP World Tour title at the Winston-Salem Open. Needing two hours and 43 minutes to seal his victory, Carreno Busta hit 12 aces and broke the serve of his opponent on two occasions. Splitting his first two career meetings against Bautista Agut, Carreno Busta took home 250 ATP World Tour points for his victory and $85,625 in prize money.
Carreno Busta had previously lost in the finals of Sao Paulo and Estoril earlier this year.
