No. 3 seed Roberto Bautista Agut won the biggest title of his career on Saturday in Dubai, U.A.E, defeating No. 2 seed Lucas Pouille 6-3, 6-4.
In a match that lasted one hour and 21 minutes, Bautista Agut won 72 percent of his first serve points, broke serve on three occasions and only lost his delivery on one occasion.
Improving to 3-1 against Pouille in lifetime meetings, Bautista Agut avenged a loss to the Spaniard from the last time they played at the 2016 US Open. Bautista Agut also notched his second title of the season after winning in Auckland, New Zealand in January.
Pouille, who was playing in his third final of the year, lost in the finals of Marseille last week, while winning the title in Montpellier earlier in February.

No. 6 seed Juan Martin del Potro captured his first title of 2018 on Saturday evening in Acapulco, Mexico, dismissing No. 5 seed Kevin Anderson 6-4, 6-4. Improving to 7-0 vs. Anderson in lifetime meetings, del Potro used his powerful serve and electric forehand to upend his opponent.
Winning his 21st career title, del Potro gained 500 ATP World Tour points to his total and $354,130 USD in prize money. The Argentine also improved to 11-3 on the year.
Anderson, who recently won the title in Long Island, New York, fell to 11-3 on the season.
