Qatar ExxonMobil Open—Doha, Qatar
No. 2 seed Roberto Bautista Agut captured his 10th career title on Saturday in Doha, Qatar, dismissing No. 3 seed Nikoloz Basilashvili 6-3, 6-4. Overcoming eight aces, Bautista Agut needed one hour and 25 minutes to dispatch his hard-hitting opponent.
Winning 68 percent of his first serve points, Bautista Agut broke serve on four occasions and improved to 4-2 against his opponent in lifetime meetings. Avenging a loss to Basilashvili in last year’s final, Bautista Agut will be ranked No. 15 on Monday.
Basilashvili, who was attempting to win his sixth career title, hadn’t won a match on Tour before arriving in Doha.
