Babolat Celebrates 150th Anniversary in NYC: Event Recap
New York, NY, August 22, 2025 – Babolat celebrated its 150th anniversary in the heart of New York City’s historic Seaport district. Babolat’s 150th Anniversary party, held in partnership with Racquet Magazine, brought together top professional players, tennis fans, cultural tastemakers, and industry leaders for a celebration of the sport’s past, present, and future.
The evening bridged heritage and innovation, reinforcing Babolat’s iconic legacy while showcasing the future of tennis. The celebration featured appearances by some of the game’s most exciting names, including top tennis players such as Carlos Alcaraz, Cameron Norrie, and Felix Auger-Aliassime, as well as next generation stars like Alex Eala and Alex Michelsen.
The event’s programming captured the spirit of tennis beyond the baseline, with live podcast recordings diving into tennis culture and storytelling featuring Babolat players who attended alongside Racquet Magazine’s co-founder, Caitlin Thompson.
On the occasion of Babolat 150th anniversary celebration ahead of the US Open, Brian Vahaly, Chairman of the Board and President of the USTA, was offered by Babolat one of the 92 unique Babolat racquets created as a tribute to Rafael Nadal extraordinary career. The racquet is engraved 84/92, commemorating Rafa’s 84th title won at the 2019 US Open (out of the 92 titles Rafa won during his career).
