This week will feature the return of Rafael Nadal to his beloved clay-courts in Barcelona.
With the Centre Court named after him, Nadal will highlight a field and that includes Carlos Alcaraz, Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsiaps, Andrey Rublev, and Karen Khachanov.
Nadal has won an astounding 12-titles on home soil and will be looking for title No. 13 this week.
Nadal Back in Action After Injury
The hall-of-fame Spaniard has been hampered for the past two seasons with various injuries.
He injured his hip at last year’s Australian Open and then suffered a back injury at the Netflix Challenge in March against Alcaraz in Las Vegas.
The Munich event will also hold a great cast of players, led by Alexander Zverev, Holger Rune and Dominic Thiem.
Bucharest’s 250 level tournament will see Stan Wawrinka, Denis Shapovalov and Sebastian Korda play for the title.
On the women’s side, the premier event in Stuttgart remains a favourite for the fans and players alike.
Looking to win the first, major clay-court event of the season, world No. 1 Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina, and Jessica Pegula are all slated to be in action.
The Rouen event in France will see four-time Major event Naomi Osaka complete on clay for the first time in 2024. The Japanese star looks to be rounding into form nicely this season.
