Flying high with great functionality, innovation and style, the all-new apparel and footwear collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto for Roland Garros 2015 is nothing short of trend-setting.
With the likes of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Ana Ivanovic prepared to debut the adidas Y-3 collection later this month, fans of adidas and Yohji Yamamoto will be treated to light-weight fabrics, which for the most part feature eye-catching floral patterns.
Starting off with Tsonga’s kit in Paris, the Frenchman will bring his power-based game to Court Chatrier in the Roland Garros Y-3 Crew in black (featured to the right), which features double-layered mesh insets and raglan sleeves. The crew’s sleek shape is finished off by a printed adidas Y-3 logo at right shoulder and a printed Roland Garros logo at left shoulder. The former French Open semifinalist will complete his look with the Roland Garros Y-3 On-Court Short in black and the adizero Y-3 Feather III in black, flower print and white. Tsonga’s shorts are highlighted by an inner compression short, providing the player with great comfort and maneuverability. We found Tsonga’s Y-3 shoe to fit half a size larger than normal but did feel great once the proper size was achieved. Loaded with miCoach compatibility, the Y-3 Feather III comes with a modified herringbone sole that works great on various court surfaces.

Moving onto the wardrobe that Ivanovic will showcase in France, the high-seeded Serb is scheduled to debut the Roland Garros Y-3 On Court Dress in black (featured to the right), which comes fully equipped with a coordinating sports bra and compression short. Mesh overlays and a scooped neck-line are also great tech features that can be found on the Y-3 On Court Dress.
Ivanovic will round out her outfit with the adizero Y-3 Tempaia III shoe in Y-3 floral print, black and white. We also recommend going down half a size with this model for optimal playability.
