Each March, one of the premier tennis tournaments in the world brings top-ranked players and passionate fans to a renowned venue in the Coachella Valley. The BNP Paribas Open, held in Indian Wells, California, is widely recognized as a must-attend event, combining top-tier competition with an incredible setting.
The tournament’s main stadium, among the largest in the sport, serves as the stage for exhilarating matches featuring the best players on tour. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and strong reputation among athletes, this event has consistently been regarded as one of the most prestigious stops on the tennis calendar.
Top Contenders in the Men’s Draw
Carlos Alcaraz is back in California, aiming to secure his third consecutive title in Indian Wells. The Spanish star, currently ranked No. 3 in the world, will face stiff competition from top seed Alexander Zverev, 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, and last year’s runner-up, Daniil Medvedev.
The 96-player draw also features some of the sport’s biggest names, including former champion Taylor Fritz, three-time Grand Slam finalist Casper Ruud, and the powerful Russian, Andrey Rublev.
This highly anticipated tournament runs from March 2 to March 16 at the iconic Tennis Garden.
Sabalenka Returns to the U.S.
World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka is set to compete at one of her favourite events, seeking yet another Masters 1000 title. The reigning US Open champion will be up against a star-studded field, including two-time Indian Wells winner and defending champion Iga Swiatek, along with Coco Gauff, Jasmine Paolini, Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys, and Elena Rybakina.
First-round matches for both the men’s and women’s draws will kick off on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
