Legendary champion and Rafael Nadal will play in front the Italian fans for perhaps the final time. Enduring countless injuries throughout the years, Nadal will hope for a proper send off with a deep run in Italy.
Nadal has won the Italian Open on tennis occasions, with his last victory coming in 2021.
Irrespective of his current level and fitness, Nadal can never be counted out on a clay court.

Much like her hero Nadal, world No. 1 Swiatek is most comfortable on the clay of Europe. Winning the French Open three times, Swiatek is in great position for another great on clay.
Switaek is without question, the player to beat at the French Open this year.
Alcaraz Needs a Big Result
Reigning Wimbledon winner Carlos Alcaraz will hope to have the final touches need on his preparations for Paris in Rome. Suffering from an arm injury earlier in the clay-court season, the physical Spaniard lost in the first round of Rome last year.
The 20-year-old will be adamant on pouring in a strong performance in Italy.
Sinner Continues Strong Form
Home-country hero Jannik Sinner will be the talk of the Italian Open in 2024. Currently ranked No. 2 on the computer, Sinner has a realistic chance to overtake top ranked Novak Djokovic by the end of the French Open.
The 22-year-old plays well on all surfaces, and will look to impress the crowd in his home country.
