Exciting Time Ahead for American Tennis

February is going to be an exciting month for tennis in the US. There are two major ATP tournaments being held with the Dallas Open (5-11) swiftly being followed by the Delray Beach Open from February 12-18.

After all the thrills of the Australian Open in January, tennis really shows how global a sport it is. There will be indoor tournaments in Europe and several clay court events being held in South America.

Wagering on tennis is incredibly popular and an integral part of any sports wagering site. There’s been great expansion in this area in the USA and also Canada where wagerers regularly pay visits to https://twin.com/en-ca/bets/tennis/atp/1970324836986669-atp-us-open to check the latest tennis odds.

Sports wagering is yet to be made legal in the state of Texas. Many gamblers do place wagers with unlicensed sites but they don’t have high levels of customer protection.

Last year saw the unseeded Wu Yibing beat fifth seed John Isner in the final. He’d beaten the top seed Taylor Fritz in the semi-final.

This is a unique tournament as it’s the only ATP indoor event held in the USA.  There’s already a great line-up for this ATP 250 tournament. Tommy Paul, Ben Shelton, Frances Tiafoe and Reilly Opelka are all expected to be in the line-up. Also hoping to win the title will be Adrian Mannarino, Christopher Eubanks, MacKenzie McDonald and Max Purcell.

Once this tournament is over, it’s time to head outdoors for the Delray Beach Open in Florida.. Taylor Fritz put his Dallas disappointment behind him and won the Delray Beach title beating Miomir Kecmanovic in the final

It’s already been an exciting year in Florida, especially if you like to wager on sport. That has been possible in the past but at offshore sites whose licenses have been granted by other countries.

That’s changing now though and last October saw a US Supreme Court ruling made that meant the state’s Seminole Tribe will now be able to offer their customers the chance to legally place wagers on sport and of course that includes top tennis tournaments. The tribe has control of gaming rights in Florida and it’s going to be a great time for them in 2024 as far as sports wagering is concerned.

Retail sportsbooks have now opened in the state of Florida. You can also go onto the relaunched Hard Rock app.

Fritz will be back in February trying to successfully defend his title. Not since 1997 has a player been able to achieve that when Jason Stoltenberg won a second successive title. He’s due to play his first match on Valentine’s Day. Also confirmed to be in this tournament is Tommy Paul who was a semi-finalist in this tournament two years ago and is also due to play on clay in the USA later this year.
