Nitto ATP Finals—Turin, Italy
World No. 1 Novak Djokovic reached the semifinals of the ATP Finals in Turin, Italy on Thursday, defeating alternate Hubert Hurkacz 7-6(1), 4-6, 6-1.
Needing two hours and five minutes to prevail, Djokovic withstood 24 aces from his opponent, while adding six aces of his own.
Improving to 7-0 against Hurkacz in lifetime meetings, Djokovic will now await his opponent in Saturday’s semifinal.
Hurkacz had taken the place of an injured Stefanos Tsitsipas earlier in the week.
