Elsewhere, No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka, No. 13 Daria Kasatkina and No. 17 Madison Keys also reached the sweet 16 of the event. Sabalenka dismissed Clara Burel, Kasatkina defeated Greet Minnen and Keys took out No. 14 seed Liudmila Samsonova.
On the men’s side, Jack Draper reached the fourth round, and will face either No. 8 seed Andrey Rublev or Arthur Rinderknech.
