No. 3 seed Daniil Medvedev captured his second-straight title on the ATP Tour on Saturday, defeating former three-time Major winner Andy Murray 6-4, 6-4 in Doha, Qatar.
Needing one hour and 47 minutes to seal his victory, Medvedev struck six aces, won 71 percent of his first serve points and hit 20 winners.
Improving to 3-0 against Murray in lifetime meetings, Medvedev now owns 17 career titles. The former US Open winner will be ranked No. 7 in the world on Monday.
Murray, who has had a great year on Tour, will be ranked No. 52 in the world on Monday.
