HOUSTON (April 1, 2022) – The Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship will stream exclusively on ESPN3 in the United States when the ATP 250 tournament takes place April 4-10 at Houston’s River Oaks Country Club.
A total of 24 singles matches – each of the stadium court singles matches from the week – as well as the doubles final will stream on ESPN3.
The matches will be called by Sam Gore and Jason Knapp, with analysis from Jimmy Arias and Luke Jensen along with player interviews from Blair Henley.

U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship,” said Tournament Director Bronwyn Greer. “With the depth of our player field, we anticipate great action throughout the entire week. Gore hosts ESPN’s Grand Slam tennis coverage on DirecTV while also serving as play-by-play announcer for numerous sports. His other ESPN work includes play-by-play on a variety of collegiate competitions, including the NCAA tennis championship.
Knapp has worked six Olympics, including play-by-play of tennis during the Summer Games and curling at the Winter Games. He has called more than a dozen sports in his career. In addition to his Olympic work, his tennis background includes play-by-play for the US Open world feed.
Arias was a two-time champion of the River Oaks International Tennis Tournament as well as a past champion of the US Clay Courts, winning that event when it was held in Indianapolis. Arias achieved a career high ranking of No. 5 while winning five ATP titles and reached 11 other finals. In 1987, he won the River Oaks Langston Sportsmanship Trophy.
Jensen is a 10-time doubles winner on the ATP Tour. His biggest title came in 1993 when he partnered with his brother, Murphy, to win the French Open. He also appeared in 14 other ATP finals, and was awarded the River Oaks Langston Sportsmanship Trophy along with his brother in 1996.
Henley, a former Rice tennis standout, will conduct post-match interviews as part of her role as stadium emcee. Henley has previously been an on-court host at numerous events, including the US Open. While in college, she was named Conference USA Player of the Year while leading the Owls to the league title.

The singles field for the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship features eight players inside the top 50 of the ATP Rankings, including defending champion Cristian Garin and 2019 finalist Casper Ruud, who at No. 8 in the world will be the top seed. American entries include Taylor Fritz, the champion last month at Indian Wells, along with Reilly Opelka, Jenson Brooskby, Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe and former US Clay winners John Isner, Steve Johnson and Jack Sock. Australia’s Nick Kyrgios was awarded the tournament’s first wild card.
The ATP 250 event at River Oaks returns after a two-year hiatus starting Saturday at 11 a.m. The main draw that begins on Monday will include a 28-player singles field along with 16 teams in the doubles tournament. For more information, visit mensclaycourt.com.
