Joachim Johansson Reminisces on serving 51 aces vs Andre Agassi at the Australian Open

Former world No. 9 and US Open semifinalist Joachim Johansson recently spoke about the epic serving performance he had against eight-time Major winner Andre Agassi during the 2005 Australian.

The Swedish star, who rose to No. 9 in the world in February of 2005, won three titles on the ATP Tour during his career. Known for one of the most potent serves ever in the game, Johansson actually suffered from severe cramps before his match with Agassi.

In this video below, he remembers the encounter with Agassi in the round of 16 of the 2005 Australian Open, which Daniil Medvedev is favourite to win in 2022 in the latest online betting odds.

Born in Lund, Sweden, Johansson’s 6’6″ stature was vital to his success on Tour.

Unfortunately, injuries (most notably an elbow injury) derailed his career from reaching even greater heights. Nevertheless, Johansson will always have the memory of acing one of the greatest returners ever in the sport 51 times.
