No. 3 seed Casper Ruud won back-to-back titles on the ATP Tour on Sunday, dismissing first-time finalist Hugo Gaston 6-3, 6-2. Winning the title in Bastad, Sweden last week, Ruud needed one hour and 35 minutes to claim the title in Gstaad today.
Striking three aces and winning 68 percent of first serve points, Ruud also won the title in Geneva earlier this year. Never facing his opponent on Tour, Ruud will stay at No. 14 in the world when Monday’s rankings are released.
Gaston, who was playing in his first Tour final, defeated No. 4 seed Christian Garin in the quarterfinals. The 20-year-old will move up to No. 132 in the world on Monday.

Mifel Open—Los Cabos, Mexico
Great Britain’s Cameron Norrie notched his first ATP Tour title on Saturday in Los Cabos, Mexico, dispatching American Branden Nakashima 6-2, 6-2.
Dominating the contest from start to finish, Norrie hit one aces and broke his opponent on five occasions. Playing in his fifth career final, Norrie also made the finals in London, Estoril and Lyon earlier this year. The 25-year-old will move up to No. 29 in the world when Monday’s rankings are released.
Nakashima, who was playing in his first career final, defeated fellow Americans John Isner and Sam Querrey earlier in the event. The 19-year-old will move up to No. 115 in the rankings on Monday after his performance in Los Cabos.

Spanish phenom Carlos Alcaraz captured his maiden ATP Tour title on Sunday in Umag, Croatia, dispatching seasoned veteran Richard Gasquet 6-2, 6-2. Currently ranked No. 73 in the world, Alcaraz displayed great versatility and poise during the one hour and 17 minute encounter.
Breaking serve on four occasions, Alcaraz will be ranked No. 54 in the world when Monday’s rankings are released.
The Spaniard is the youngest player in the top 100.
Gasquet, who continues to build back his ranking, will be ranked No. 52 on Monday.
