No. 1 seed Richard Gasquet defended his Montpellier title on Sunday, defeating countryman Paul Henri Mathieu 7-5, 6-4. Needing one hours and 48 minutes to seal his eighth career title, Gasquet hit two aces and won 77 percent of his first serve points. Gasquet, who was playing in his first event of the year, will next see action at the Rotterdam event in The Netherlands as the tournament’s top seed once again.

GARANTI KOZA SOFIA OPEN—SOFIA, BULGARIA

Top seed Roberto Bautista Agut rolled to his second torunament victory of 2016 after he disposed of Serbian Viktor Troicki 6-3, 6-4 in Sofia, Bulgaria on Sunday. The Spaniard, who improved to 12-2 on the season, captured the fourth tournament title of his career. Bautista Agut and Troicki will next see action at the Rotterdam event in The Netherlands.

ECUADOR OPEN QUITO—QUITO, ECUADOR

Defending champion Victor Estrella Burgos made it two titles in a row in Quito, Ecuador on Sunday, dismissing Thomaz Bellucci 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-2. Turning 36 on Monday, Estrella Burgos overcame the loss of the first set to upend his higher seeded opponent. Hitting eight aces and winning 74 percent of his first serve points, Estrella Burgos broke serve on two occasions and improved to 2-0 against Bellucci in lifetime meetings.
