Gear Review: Oakley’s Spring 2014 Collection

In the mood for a new pair of shades to ring in the upcoming spring and summer season? There’s really no need to look any further than the latest sunglasses that Oakley has to offer for Spring 2014.

Whether you’re in need of a performance pair of shades or those perfect sunglasses to lounge around in after a 3-set match, Oakley has you covered from A-Z. Starting off our review, we were given a pair of the chic yet performance driven OAKLEY FEEDBACK™ for women in honeydew pearl, black and grey gradient. First off, these aviator teardrop frames filter out 100% of harmful blue light up to 400nm and the HDPolarized feature will minimize glare, which produces the best polarized lenses on the planet (this feature is optional).

Moving along, the FEEDBACK fits great around the nose and ears and provides no slippage when walking or running. Perhaps one of the strongest features of this frame—and one that we are always welcome to—remains its light-weight nature. You’ll feel like you’re not even wearing any frames, yet continue to benefit from all of its world-class features.

Known as one of the most recognizable faces in snowboarding, Shawn White’s Oakley line has become a staple for many outdoor sports. Introducing his latest ENDURO frame in polished black ink and black iridium, White’s inspired frame brings forth a classic 60’s feel, yet remains focused on providing the Tech support that Oakley is known for. These polarized shades are highlighted by optimized peripheral vision, courtesy of 6-base lens curvature, maximum clarity at all angles of vision due to the patented XYZ Optics®, and finally, this incredibly lightweight frame boasts a vintage look, which focuses on metal accents and carved lines on the earstems.

If you’re looking to view the latest in Oakley products, make sure to check them out on their official site: ca.oakley.com/store. For all the latest on Oakley and their athletes, make sure to follow them @OakleyCanada.
