Saturday’s action in Flushing Meadows, New York saw top seed and defending champion Carlos Alcaraz cruise into the fourth round of the year’s final Major, upending Dan Evans in four sets

The feisty Spaniard will next face Matteo Arnaldi, who ousted Cameron Norrie in four sets.

Elsewhere, No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka, No. 13 Daria Kasatkina and No. 17 Madison Keys also reached the sweet 16 of the event. Sabalenka dismissed Clara Burel, Kasatkina defeated Greet Minnen and Keys took out No. 14 seed Liudmila Samsonova.

On the men’s side, Jack Draper reached the fourth round, and will face either No. 8 seed Andrey Rublev or Arthur Rinderknech.

Still to come on Saturday, No. 5 seed Ons Jabeur, No. 3 seed Daniil Medvedev, and No 12. seed Alexander Zverev will all be in action.

Sunday’s schedule in New York will highlight No. 1 seed Iga Swiatek, No. 2 seed Novak Djokovic, Caroline Wozniacki, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe and Tommy Paul.
