FILA Athletes to Debut Break Point and Mad For Plaid Collections in Paris
(FILA Luxembourg S.à r.l.) – FILA sponsored tennis players will step on court this September sporting two new collections designed to be the perfect complement to the clay courts of Paris. The men will wear the edgy Break Point collection, featuring gold medal gilded hues, while the women will debut the Mad For Plaid collection, highlighted by bright pops of citrus and tropical tones that are sure to have the competition beat.
FILA sponsored ATP Tour players John Isner, Reilly Opelka, Diego Schwartzman, Sam Querrey and Andreas Seppi will stand up and stand out wearing the Break Point collection in a color palette of black, gold fusion and white. The Break Point Crew provides unique angles and contrasts of black and gold, finished with a detailed topstitch, while the new Slash Crew offers unforgettable geometric flare with sharp, breakaway lines paired with made-to-move pinhole mesh panels. The Break Point polo provides serious clay court style with a unique contrast of color in the flat knit collar and a three button placket for those looking to keep it classy. The Break Point Short – available in black or white with gold fusion accents – pairs back perfectly to any shirt choice.
FILA’s roster of sponsored WTA players, including World No.4 Karolina Pliskova, No.6 Sofia Kenin and No.8 Kiki Bertens, as well as Doubles World No. 4 Timea Babos, will look to make a statement in September wearing the women’s Mad For Plaid line, which fashions bold plaid prints in tones of mouth-watering melon, tropical coral and crisp white. The delicately detailed Cross Back Cami Tank introduces a modern-day twist on a FILA classic with contrast color self-fabric cross-back straps, while the timeless Racerback Tank is offered in two distinct styles – White / Calypso Coral / Melon or printed patterns of Plaid / Melon / Calypso Coral. The tartan-skimmed Sleeveless Polo serves up printed panels at the front and back, along with a four snap placket for adjusted comfort. The Short Sleeve V-Neck Top offers a full coverage option, as printed side panels meet contrast color binding to create a conservative, yet sophisticated look. Not to be forgotten is the Mad For Plaid Dress, which will be available in Melon / Plaid / Calypso Coral, as well as White / Plaid / Melon – and features extravagant printed bottom pleat panels.
Two variations of the 13.5 inch Mad For Plaid Skort will complement the top options – the Printed A-Line Skort, detailed by contrast color stretch elastic binding trim and pops of Plaid and Calypso Coral – and the A-Line Skort, offered in White or Calypso Coral. A 14.5 inch Flare Skort rounds out the collection.
All FILA sponsored tennis players wearing the two new Paris collections will complete their on-court looks with specially designed colorways of the Axilus 2 Energized. The men’s shoe makes a bold statement in a colorway of Gold Fusion / Black, while the women’s shoe offers a compelling combination of Melon / White / Calypso Coral that pairs back perfectly to the elegant Mad for Plaid line. FILA’s popular performance tennis shoe continues to propel the brand’s roster of sponsored players to unparalleled on-court success – including three of the current top eight WTA players in the world.
