Needing two hours and 34 minutes to prevail, Nadal avenged two loses to Fognini earlier this year on red clay. The Spaniard, who is currently ranked No. 10 in the world, took home 500 ATP World Tour points for his victory.


Swiss Open Gstaad—Gstaad, Switzerland

Young Austrian Dominic Thiem won his second straight title on Tour on Sunday, dismissing top seed David Goffin 7-2, 6-2. Thiem, who won the title in Umag last week, hit five aces and broke serve on six occasions. Thiem is next slated to see action in Kitzbuhel next week.


BB&T Atlanta Open—Atlanta, GA, U.S.A.

Top seed John Isner claimed his third straight title in Atlanta on Sunday, dispatching Marcos Baghdatis 6-3, 6-3. Slamming 13 aces and winning 96 percent of his first serve points, Isner defended 250 ATP World Tour points and notched the 10th title of his career. The 30-year-old American also improved to 27-16 on the season.
